A SHARED ROUTINE

Start with a conversation.
Build a rhythm together.

01

Agree on the moment.

Choose the part of the day that needs some space: homework, dinner, or winding down. Start with a routine everyone understands.

02

Choose the boundary.

Talk about which websites get in the way and which are needed for school or connection. Make the expectations clear before computer time begins.

03

Make time to review it.

Schoolwork and family life change. Agree on a calm moment to revisit the routine, rather than negotiating every time a boundary appears.

THE FAMILY DIRECTION

A family idea.
With room to grow.

A dedicated family edition would need its own setup, permissions, and recovery experience. Here is where the product stands today.

01

On the Mac today

Locket has named website lists and schedules configured on the Mac itself. An adult needs to review setup, permissions, and access on that computer.

02

Being explored for families

A separate parent experience, clear child-device setup, and thoughtful ways to handle exceptions. These are product ideas, not available features or promised release dates.

03

Before you rely on it

There is no remote parent dashboard, phone protection, or household-wide device management. Locket is not a complete child-safety or parental-control service.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Your questions,
with clear answers.

Apple’s family controls guide
Can I sign up for a family plan?

A dedicated family plan is not available yet. This page explains the direction we’re exploring. There is no family checkout or waitlist enrollment on this page.

Can I manage my child’s device from my phone?

No. Current Locket boundaries are configured on the Mac itself. Remote parent controls and protection across phones, tablets, and computers would require a separate family product.

Does Locket monitor or report what my child sees?

Locket does not provide a parent browsing report. Optional content matching sends the foreground browser window to Locket’s server with explicit consent. Screenshots can contain personal information. A family experience needs its own age-appropriate privacy and consent design.

What can I use for family controls today?

Apple’s Screen Time provides family controls for supported Apple devices. Review the official setup guidance below to understand what it covers and how to configure it for your family.
